From Penn Station

Easiest: Take cab (about $6).

Subway is also quick and easy (about 20 minutes or less):

• In good weather take the downtown , or train at 34 Street - Penn Station. Exit at W 4 Street - Washington Sq station.

  It is on 6th Ave, with entrances at W. 3rd St and at Waverly Place. Walk East across Washington Sq Park to Washington Place near Broadway (see map).

• In poor weather take any train uptown to 42 Street - Times Sq station, then transfer to downtown or . line. Exit at 8 Street - NYU station which is on Broadway about 2 blocks north of Washington Place (see map).

From Grand Central Station

Take cab.

Take downtown subway train at 42 Street - Grand Central station. Exit at Astor Place station which is about 2 blocks north of Washington Place (see map).

PATH train from New Jersey

Exit at 9th Street Station (6th Avenue and 9th Street). Walk Southeast across Washington Sq Park to Washington Place near Broadway map).
